You’re probably wondering where in the world I’ve been…I know, I know! But, I can assure you that I won’t be gone for long again because I have so much fun coming up and want to make sure you are kept in the loop!
Just a fun little life update…this week, I spent my time attending Startup Cincy Week in downtown Cincinnati! It was so fun connecting with other entrepreneurs and small business owners in a city that’s really making its name known in the startup ecosystem across the country! I’m so proud to be in a city that pours into its people!
I am also introducing a fun little tidbit to the newsletter as well….

That’s right!!! Sacred is getting an audiobook!! And just for being awesome, you can listen to the very first chapter of the book here 🙂 I’m actually in awe that this is finally happening. It’s been a dream of mine to make an audiobook for some time and when my friend (shoutout Timothy 😉 ) came to me and said he knew the perfect woman for the job, I couldn’t resist agreeing!! My next release (November 3rd) is hitting the streets in less than a month! I’ve been working on this one for a hot minute (since January of this year) and I cannot believe it’s already time to hit “GO” on this bad boy!
Back in early January, if you’re new to this project, I began working on manufacturing my very first CPG (consumer packed goods) product line: Tropetails: Instant Cheers—a line of (non-alcoholic) instant powder drink mixes branded and geared toward bookworms. I did this for a few reasons:
Customer feedback: a lot of my Tropetails fans were saying they absolutely loved the book and the idea behind it, they loved cocktails, but they didn’t always have easy access to all the fun, unique ingredients that went into mixing up some special drinks. So…instant drinks! No ingredients needed, just powder, water, and you’re all set (now, of course, I recommend sparkling water, but bare minimum, you can just use your very own tap water and they are just as tasty!)
Accessibility: in the terms of access to ingredients, but also (mainly) in the terms adhering to the growing desire for more NA options to enjoy drinks. I wanted to create these with the NA audience put first and foremost. These, at their core, are mocktails, meaning they do not contain any alcohol unless you opt to add some.
When I began formulation for these mixes, I had a few things in mind that mattered most: health and flexibility. I wanted users to be certain that they were putting something in their bodies that was healthy (no artificial dyes, low cal, low sugar, etc) but also that appealed to the growing NA audience.
Anyways, I’ll be talking a LOT about these in the coming weeks, and I hope you’ll join me in ringing in the release on November 3rd on Kickstarter. My human has been on one lately!! But…it’s kind of been fun for me…do you know how many boxes have come into our domain in the past few months??? It’s been a paradise for me! A personal maze of towering boxes! I like to hide behind them and leap out at her, she gives a little scream every time too, it’s so delightful. I think she calls the things inside the boxes “books”…. But most of them are gone now, and thus my amazing maze is gone too….now all I have is this lousy Halloween (whatever that is) bandana that gets in the way of my water drinking…my human insists it’s cute, but I don’t know…what do you think?
Welp that’s about all from me for now! I’m excited to be diving back into sharing all of this super fun stuff with you! For me, I am heading to a pumpkin and mimosa festival tomorrow (though I am vending which technically makes it a work event, but it’ll still be super fun!!!)
